Construct scientific citizenship

Ensfea, a member of Agreenium is one of two French institutions, the other being the University of Montpellier, which is involved I n the Parrise European research project. The goal is to involve citizens in the directions taken by research and innovation.

The Promoting Attainment of Responsible Research & Innovation in Science Education (Parrise) project (2014/2018) is part of the 7th Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development financed by the European Commission. Its overall goal is to construct a society with a scientific culture that allows its citizens to participate in the research and innovation processes. Eighteen institutions (universities and colleges) in eleven European countries are involved in the project's implementation.

Teams from Ensfea and University of Montpellier are helping to develop a survey approach based on socio-scientific questions. The College will welcome some fifty European researchers to its Auzeville Campus in May 2017 to discuss the next steps in the project.
