Senegal's Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, Mary Teuw NIANE, was received on Wednesday 14 November 2018 in Paris by Agreenium's Chairperson of the Board of Directors, Marion Guillou and its Director Claude Bernhard. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the progress of ongoing projects and identify new perspectives.

Agreenium is currently developing several cooperation projects with Senegal in the field of higher education and research: support for Ussein University to set up training courses, shared recruitment of Senegalese life sciences students in Agreenium member engineering schools in France and the development of digital campuses in life sciences in partnership with the "Université virtuelle du Sénégal" (UVS), the "Agence universitaire de la Francophonie" (AUF) and Ussein University. The establishment of the Franco-Senegalese campus at the highest level between the two countries, whose Steering Committee is meeting this week in Paris, has created an encouraging context for the development of these projects.

The Senegalese delegation around Minister Mary Teuw NIANE was composed of Malik SOW, Secretary General of Mesri, the 1st Counsellor of the Senegalese Embassy in France, Awa Niang FALL and Xavier GIROD, Technical Advisors, Amadou Tidiane GUIRO, Rector of the USSEIN University, Amadou Thierno Gayé, Director General of Research (Mesri), Laurent PEREZ-VIDAL, Counsellor at the French Embassy in Senegal.

The French delegation around Marion Guillou and Claude Bernhard was composed of Christiane Lennoz-Gratin, Deputy Director, Etienne Saur, in charge of international cooperation, and Philippe Prévost, in charge of digital cooperation.
