The project is entering its final phase and activities are well underway.
Laurent Roy and Corinne Pickett of the Montpellier Supagro DEFIS team are currently in Phnom Penh, Cambodia (Faculty of Agro Industry in Royal University of Agriculture) and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (NLU, Faculty of Food Science & Technology), Hanoi (HUST, School of Biotechnology and food technology, VNUA, Faculty of Food Technology, National University of Agriculture of Vietnam). The aim of their mission is to accompany and train the partners in the reporting of activities with a view to the completion of the project next October.
As foreseen in the project, the reception of Asian teachers in Europe is continuing. Next summer Montpellier Supagro will welcome a Cambodian teacher (Dr Kong Thong) while AgroSup Dijon will welcome a Thai colleague from Prince of Songkla University (Dr Kitiya Vongkamjan).
Finally, the presentation of the results of the Asifood project will be part of the programme of the first international conference "Innovation in Food Ingredients and Food Safety" organised in Bangkok on 12 and 13 September 2018 by AIT (Asian Institute of Technology), the Asifood and SEA-ABT projects, and ISEKI-Food Association.
Among all the partners present, the dissemination of AsiFood's rich results will be discussed.
Yves Waché (AgroSup Dijon), Sylvie Avallone and Laurent Roy (Montpellier Supagro) will represent Agreenium.
