French agricultural research and higher education united to respond to global challenges

Agreenium, the French Institute of Agronomy, Veterinary and Forestry, was created to bring together and promote the skills of public higher education and research institutions in the fields of agronomic and veterinary sciences, emblematic of the French cultural and scientific heritage. It brings together 14 institutions of higher agricultural education and 4 research and expertise institutes.

The new Institute, set up in 2015, was created by the Minister of Agriculture to stimulate transitions towards a new model of agriculture by mobilizing the forces of higher education and research to disseminate knowledge and participate in the training movement to produce differently. Agreenium is a public cooperation institution governed jointly by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation and the Ministry of Agriculture, created in 2015 as a continuation of the Agreenium consortium (2009-2015), from which it has been renamed.

The Institute relies on a Board of Directors, a Council of Members and mobilizes stakeholders within a Strategic Advisory Board.

Since its creation, Agreenium has produced publications to report on its activities and to promote collective actions carried out with all or part of its members and its partners.
