Aim
Agreenium has the mandate to work with other member universities (Catholic University of Bukavu-UCB, University of Antananarivo-UoA and University of Burundi-UoB) and RUFORUM, University of Ghent-UoG and Montpellier Supagro to bring institutional, methodological and pedagogical support to developing new master courses or adapting existing ones, to the ACP partners, with a more precise focus on Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Agronomiques/University of Madagascar and the Catholic University of Bukavu (Congo).

Expected achievements
  • establishing and piloting postgraduate programs for Supporting Agricultural Development in Post Conflict Countries of Central and Eastern Africa; 
  • provide a platform for recruitment of resource persons, postgraduate students, mid-career professionals and other participants of short courses; 
  • support institutional analyses in the three CEA countries; 
  • support course module development; support development of short skill enhancement courses for staff/students in partner university; 
  • set up Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning systems; 
  • support the transfer of experience to the partner university and wildly through Associate’s Partners' platforms. 
Agreenium’s role is to:
  •  identify French Higher Education staff to build capacity at the targeted ACP partners; 
  • support Development of the MSc programmes, with a special focus on those being developed at Bukavu Catholic University (Congo) and at ESSA / University of Antananarivo, Madagascar; 
  • participate in course content development and delivery; 
  • participate in annual planning meetings and lesson learning sessions, representing the French Higher Education institutions; 
  • contribute to support the development of the MSc programmes at the partners institutions in Africa, with a special focus on those being developed at Bukavu Catholic University (Congo)
