The ASTER unit aims to understand the dynamics of change in technical agricultural systems in the territories to accompany the transitions of these systems towards a better consideration of territorial resources.
Its missions are:
To produce scientific knowledge and methods on innovation and the dynamics of change in agriculture in rural territories.
Develop instruments made available to scientific communities (notably on the Experimental Facility)
Produce operational knowledge and tools to guide action in diversified partnerships with farmers, agricultural and rural stakeholders (agricultural development organizations, natural resource managers) and public authorities (ministries, local authorities).
This project is organized into two major areas of work on :
The knowledge of actors and the construction of change support systems corresponding to an entry by actors and social dynamics,
Diversity and diversification of agricultural systems for the sustainability of rural territories corresponding to entry through activities and their footprint on territories.
