UMR 1443 - The Bureau for Economic Theory and Applications / Forest Economics (BETA)

The unit's forest economics research is conducted on the unit's Nancy antenna located on the AgroParisTech campus. This team is specialized in environmental economics and its main object of application is forestry and the forest-wood sector. Research on the "forest" theme is organized around 3 areas of expertise: the economy of the multifunctionality of the forest, the modelling of the forest sector and the economic observatory.

More generally, BETA is a joint research unit well-established in the North-East of France. BETA ensures missions of research, fundamental and applied in economy, and teaching.
The unit's scientific activity is organised around five research axes: 
• Economics of Law (ED) 
• Cliometry and History of Economic Thought (CHPE) 
• Creativity, Science, Innovation (CSI) 
• Behaviors, Incentives, Sustainable Development (CIDD) 
• Macroeconomics and Public Policy (MPP)
