The central idea, common to all members of this unit, is that there are multiple configurations (local and regional) and trajectories (individual and collective) leading to a co-existence of “models” and strategies within territories. This notion raises questions about capacity for action and about the design and implementation of public actions. The unit studies practices, in terms of actions adapted to the diversity of models and of schools of thought, with a view to the continual adaptation of these practices. In addition, approaches for supporting actions and change in territories must also be developed in the fragile areas in which the stakes are very high for innovation.
