Public Forum "Agriculture in 3D: defense, diplomacy, development"

Feeding 10 billion people by 2050 will require both much more and much better production. The challenge is immense, yet the geostrategic importance of global agricultural and food issues is often poorly understood. However, agriculture and food are at the crossroads of many major challenges of the current century: adaptation to climate change, future of free trade, distress migrations, recrudescence of conflicts, inequalities between men and women ... And strong of its assets, the French actors of the agricultural and food fields have a role to play!

This morning of exchanges and debates on tomorrow's global agricultural and food issues will be opened by Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and José Graziano da Silva, Director General of the Organization of United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and closed by Stéphane Travert, Minister of Agriculture and Food.

Participation is free but registration is mandatory.

The DEMETER Club is an associative ecosystem bringing together more than fifty actors in the agricultural and agri-food sector. Its activities are geared towards long-term thinking, global issues and the spirit of innovation.
