As part of its policy of developing international “research and training” partnerships, Agreenium and the Animal Sciences Group of the Wageningen University and Research (WUR) initiated collaborations in 2013.
The objective is to capitalize on the links between the WUR and the research teams of INRA in order to include a capacity building component based on existing collaborations. The Capacity building program on Animal Sciences between Agreenium and the WUR is based on four types of activities, each one managed by a pair of Agreenium and WUR members:
- PhD training: Development of joint doctoral degree programmes; reflect ambition to be leading in the domain; one procedure for a joint PhD degree ;
- MSc education: Development of double degree programs; a balanced bidirectional inflow of French and Dutch students in order to develop the attractiveness of a double degree programme ;
- Life-long learning: To develop joint activities, such as a joint event, a joint course for international companies and/or single guest lectures in existing courses; to develop joint European projects such as strategic partnerships to begin building close cooperation in connection with industries ;
- Summer schools / Master classes: Development of joint summer school each year on major common topics;
