UMR_C 5218 - Integration: from Material to Systems - Team Models, Texture, Images, Volumes (IMS-MOTIVE)

IMS develops a coherent set of research work ranging from the development of alternative technologies to silicon for the development of innovative electronic devices to heterogeneous systems engineering. More specifically, upstream or finalised research work is implemented through the following scientific priorities:
modelling and shaping of materials for the development of components and microsystems,
modelling, design, integration and reliability analysis of components, circuits and assemblies,
identification, control, diagnosis, signal and image processing,
management of complex and heterogeneous processes, human engineering and interactions with the "living" domain.

Within the IMS, the MOTIVE team aims to design new algorithms for the analysis and processing of digital signals. They are particularly interested in images or sequences of textured images and volumes with the aim of restoring, analyzing, classifying or synthesizing images but also detecting and reconstructing objects in these images.
The applications, diversified, concern among others materials sciences and agronomic and environmental issues, fields around which the team has built numerous projects and partnerships with institutional and professional partners. With the support of the ImAgro transfer cell, they are notably developing an activity in multi and hyperspectral image analysis, acquired by remote sensing devices (on board aircraft, drone or satellite) and proxidétection devices (on board agricultural machinery or robots) for crop characterization (viticulture, oyster farming, forestry, etc.).
